Modern Shoji Screen Door Behind the Scenes by Werk Arts.

Project Info

Scope: Supplied furnishings for modern twist on a Japanese traditional Tatami Room in a custom residential home in Kahala, on Waialae Golf Course.

Highlight: An exciting part of this project was the need for expertise in creating custom designed mortise and tenon joinery. We created an eye-catching, one of a kind work-of-art and were able to fuse modern and traditional Japanese shoji styles.

Our Part

Worked with the Architect and Interior Design teams to create non-traditional style shoji door set. We engineered joinery solutions that allowed the client to push the boundaries of design.
